Thirty-one women enjoyed a dry - and even sunny - time trial tonight. It was not a particularly easy night with strong side winds from the north and fairly high air pressure, but some excellent times resulted from increased fitness levels. Most noteworthy was the time of first place woman Katherine Maine at 22:47 (39.589km/h). Katherine set a new category record for the Cadet Women. She also was one of the three women who improved upon their previous database best for 15km, though the biggest improver in this regard was Lucie Tremblay, who indicated that she wasn't held up by cars at the turn-around this week. Finally, Katherine was amongst the twelve women who bettered their best 2013 speed in any TT data stored on this site. Way to go to all who posted improvements, and to all the rest who rode tonight. Hey, with a flat this morning and another on the way home from the post TT dinner, Celia McInnis is glad that she got through the event on one of her backup bikes! Thanks go to the volunteers, including Patricia Slaunwhite for taking the photos shown here.
